As I am seated here on the couch in my living room at my house, I am left with nothing but debating about the irony of life. Wondering why is this happening, why are these so-called terrorists attacking all corners of the country. Don't they have any humanity in them is what I am floored over. Don't they realise that they will surely be punished by the Almighty, don't their brainwashing sessions teach them this? What bothers me immensely is the fact, this is not the end, there are a lot more youth out there, being trained to carry out more and more such petty acts. I am worried sick thinking if any place is really safe, will my children be safe in this world, will any child be safe? Our children whom we nurture and bring up in such a safe life, what kind of a world will they grow up in....no matter what good values I impart to my child, will the same be given back to him?
I think this is just about enough nettime for the trouble makers, what I would like to give a special mention here is to our brave soldiers in the police force and the armed forces. They are doing a commendable job and hats off to them. I don't have the courage to watch the live telecast, neither do I have the strength to read any of it, but those law protectors are out there, living the worst nightmare of their life and putting up a brave face working relentlessly for the last 48 hours. I for one, do believe that the officers who lost their lives so easily without even a fight, I do trust their decisions and judgements, it's just unfortunate that we lost them so easily. I'm sure they had their own set of reasons for going in without proper protection. Some police personnel are still in charge by just using their 'lathis', it is not stupidity, I believe it is the courage and the love for the most beloved city, Mumbai, and our most beloved structure, The Taj...our heritage, our landmark. They need all our strength, and we are ready to give it to them and to any soldier our country needs. I just hope that while all the concentration is at the 3 locations, there won't be any other incidents elsewhere, that would totally shatter all of us. I just pray this will be the end of it. I hope atleast now, the authorities would wake up and atleast secure our coast lines. Arriving in a speedboat and entering a country through the gateway......? I can't imagine how secure are our coastlines!!! I find it unbelievable how anyone can enter and leave the country from neighboring countries without valid forms of identification or approval. It scares the crap out of me.
I pray for all of them, all of us and also for all them youth, who are being so heavily influenced by the ignorant, calling them terrorists. I pray that this will soon end and I pray that there wont be any more such events. I pray for the well-being of all, be it us the commoners, the law makers, the law protectors or the law breakers. I pray for all.

So much in one!
Ah, where do I start blogging today! Maybe, that I really loved what Alicia Keys wore to the AMA's on Sunday, or maybe that I am disappointed Desperate Housewives didn't air, also considering the fact that the season would soon end, or maybe that I am really excited for Thanksgiving this year, or maybe that I am still a little spellbound seeing some pics from the Atlantis opening celebrations, or maybe that Roberto Cavalli's house has been designed to change colors as per his mood , or maybe that the book I am reading nowadays is the cause for my nightmares, now why are they interrupting my so-called short spells of beauty sleep is unreasonable. Well, I'm certainly looking forward to partying all this weekend, shake off some of those nightmarish dreams and horrid thoughts.
I should start reading more classics, they are certainly more enigmatic and peaceful, or better yet Calvin and Hobbes comics, just humor and antics from a 6 year old boy and his stuffed tiger, so imaginative, yet so discreetly hilarious. That reminds me, I loved Golmaal Returns, I thought it was just nonsensical sans a story/plot yet it renders its dose of comedy which I daresay is slapstick and total mass. It's good to see one of those kinds in a long time, the last I can think of is Partner. It's good to unwind all the stress and issues that we have to deal with, by watching these kind of movies every once in a while. By now you must've guessed my devotion towards Bollywood. Nothing appeals to me more than the tinseltown movies. Love them and proud to be able to comprehend them. I'm not a big fan of Aamir Khan's, but that doesn't mean I don't watch his movies, his Ghajini 6 pack abs are not working for me, I think it's just makeover gone completely wrong, of course his face looks a lot better now that he's lost weight, but abs are a big nono, I still believe SRK did a better job at toning his body. So Mr.Perfectionist and his fans, sorry to point that out, but that's just my point of view. Now, I am eager to watch Surya in his toned avatar. Also, the screenplay of the movie Rock On has been selected to be a part of the Oscar Library archives so that it is available for research to other film-related personnel. Some other movie scripts that are already in are Lagaan, Devdas, Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Kal Ho Na Ho, Chak De India, Sarkar Raj and Gandhi My Father. So did I deliver your dose of news for today?

Prose and sense!
"Ehsaan itna sa kar de
Tera mera yeh naata kyun toota
Tu nahi raha teri yaad reh gayi
Mujhe phir tanha sa kar de
Tere bina main jee na sakoonga
Milke yeh tujhse keh na sakoonga
Tera mera yeh naata kyun toota
Tera mera yeh pyaar kyun rootha
Aadhi baatein adhoori raatein reh gayi tere bina
Tere bina main keh na sakoonga
Tere bina main jee na sakoonga
Tu nahi raha teri yaad reh gayi
Palkon mein meri teri aas reh gayi
Koi toh hoga bahana bata
Tujhko bhula dene ka
Tere bina main keh na sakoonga
Tere bina main jee na sakoonga
Ehsaan itna sa kar de
Mujhe phir tanha sa kar de"
Alright alright, it's not me, this is one of the compositions from the new movie "Dil Kabaddi". When I first heard it, I really liked it, when I saw Rahul Khanna lip-syncing to it, then I thought wow, and when I heard it completely, I thought, wow again, if anyone requests in that manner, I would give in. Gee, just some nonsense from me. Btw, I thought this number had a little bit of R.D.Burman in it, I can't remember off hand which one, but I'll update when my bulb lights up.

The Final Inch!
Aptly kept title this is, The Final Inch, is all about eradicating Polio in a few countries, the video is for India and Afghanistan now. It airs on HBO in 2009. I have to admit, I didn't really think about this issue until I saw this post on the Google Blog. It got me thinking.....why do we quarrel amongst ourselves over religion, caste, wealth, insanity when there are far more serious issues to fight against? Well, you know me always trying to see an issue in a larger than life picture, that's just my food for thought.

My master a little wonder!
I've been missing blogging, been wanting to blog although I couldn't, so took a few moments off to do my fave thing.....blog!
First off, my master is getting cuter by the day! Everyday on our ride back home after work/school, looking at me wearing my shades, he pulls up his glasses...which he carefully stores in the door pocket of the car. One clarification here is, the sunglasses that he wears are actually mine (why? coz he doesn't like his and always wants mama's). He took an affinity towards these white and brown ones and he thinks they are his...so cute! So anyways, back to the matter at hand... he takes them glasses, wears them and then calls me to show off.....no guessing where he gets all his nakhras from!!(hint: it's moi! haha) and he wears them for the entire ride. Ok, now for the interesting part, sometime in between he removed his shades and called me, I asked him what he needed and he replied, tissue. I said alright maybe he wanted to wipe his face or something. I handed one to him and guess what he does, he starts wiping the lens part of the shades.....I was totally taken by surprise, My God! how can a 23 mth old know he needs to wipe his glasses and how! That made me realise he is observing and imitating our actions. Man, this was a huge wake-up call w.r.t our actions/words/habits. He repeats every word we say and he is almost copying all our actions. He is at an age when he is capable of absorbing and acting out everything, so I'm cutting down on TV time, he can just watch Barney, no more desi MTV too, and he will be getting back to reading books like he used to. Some days when it's just the 2 of us at home, master and I pick up our books and sit down to read, it's fun. Now, Mr. too is preparing and ordering all kinds of reading material for master, I haven't seen Mr. read so much, but alas a child changes us completely.
Well, other than all that kid stuff, I had a pretty rough weekend in a really long time, been having migraines on and off and it's so annoying. But hubby dearest gave me time-off from everything(I don't mean to suggest I am the one who is always working, but a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do) and I was resting all weekend nearly, I will make it upto him this weekend. The girls luncheon was good, nice change for us girls to hang out with each other and also to welcome the new brides. But the rest of the day I was hoping my head would get hit with a hammer to rid myself of the pain. I need to see a doc soon. Then to keep myself occupied and distant from the headaches, I put myself to some constructive work, "An Odyssey", a scrapbook idea that I cooked up. I've selected some pics of just Mr. and I, before our master. I intend to make an album that displays our journey of 4 years. Looking back at those photos, we realised how much we have changed, especially me. Also, I thank you all who received the pics for those lovely compliments, they made my day. Looking back, I've decided to wear my hair short, the way it was...so chop chop my tresses and rang barse. Now back to work and I shall update if anything interesting comes up. I know this post was meant for master, but I had to add in...as always!

India on the Moon!
I really wish, Dr. Abdul Kalam would've been the President of India on this glorious day when the Indian flag set up it's place on the chaand. Who could've understood it better than him!
Here is the link to the pics
Riddle Solved!
No more, "which came first....chicken or egg?" question.....it's now scientifically proven that the egg came first.....way before the chicken.
Yay!
and CONGRATULATIONS to all on Chandrayan landing on the moon! Double Yay!
Technically I am awake, but realistically I am in a deep slumber! Whew, a strength 4 coffee is also not doing me any good, I am missing my bed. I need a short forty winks, I'm sure it'll do no harm to no one. Damn, I need to work on this issue and I'm unable to concentrate.....maybe I'll get me some of that Green Tea, that will definitely wake me up. That reminds me, M,...what about the Green Tea Cocktail, did you find the recipe for that, I am curious to know how would my taste buds take it. You do remember my addition to it right?
I think I might have a nice fall today sometime and make myself look foolish! Thanks to these new shoes that I've got on....they are so stiff, it's hard to walk. Well, my Mr. was right, he was like do you have to buy those shoes for sure, I said Absolutely! well, then I didn't know I was absolutely sure of tripping! But then you know, I'm getting so much praise for them, it's hard to put them, 4 inched beauties away. You know, I love my shoes!
A horrendous discovery!
....is that NBC has decided to cancel the show 'Lipstick Jungle' after they air the 13 episodes that have already been shot. But then again, they are not yet definite those 13 episodes might also air....huh! so much for viewership.
Alright, alright, I know I'm being overtly dramatic but hey this is one of the few shows, I am desperately addicted too. Sheesh, I do need to get the book afterall! ok, confession time....I haven't seen the last 2 episodes before the season ended.....:(
Anyways, with the advent of winter, will be the end of TV, no good shows, just boring reality series and what not nonsense.

GYAAN
Empty tissue boxes can provide easy and handy storage for plastic grocery bags.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
A short R & R
It's a beautiful day....light cool fall breeze, just a bit of sunshine, a few modest raindrops, just enough to not upset the hairdo. Everytime I encounter this type of weather, I am taken back in time to the other side of the world....Tirumala. Nostalgic and good.
I took a 15 minute walk around the parking lot today and really enjoyed the fresh cool air mess my hair and I took some deep breaths to take in all that freshness and continue the rest of the day with a lot more energy. I feel refreshed and energized already and ready to take on the next issue. I just wish my Mr. and I were together, it's a beautiful day to share with the light of my life. Unfortunately, he is 20 miles away from me now and I miss him immensely.

To be or not to be.
WikiHow had an article on "How to Think Like Leonardo DaVinci". I am a bit confused here.....can you become someone else by changing the way you think?? That would seem interesting to me. Hmm..let's see I want to think like....Warren Buffett maybe? or maybe can I get an amalgamation of various individuals, not necessarily celebs in their fields? See I told you it would be interesting. Anyways, if you are reading this post and would like to share with me who would you want to think like please let me know, I want to know.

Did you know?
that my fave Katy Perry sported a Manish Arora creation for the MTV Europe Music Awards this year?
Here is the link to it
and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi music is alright....maybe it's the kind of music that grows on you.....I'm so excited about this one....Aditya Chopra and SRK together after DDLJ and SRK in a different look.
My take on politics!
O yeah, everyone had their share to blog on Barack Obama, now it's my turn. As if there is anything else left to say! Nevertheless...
Congratulations to him and his family and to everyone who will benefit with his Presidency.
The Obama's make a picture perfect family, a beautiful and poised wife, lovely children and he himself is soo perfect, atleast what we see of him....and that mind of his is soo sexy! His speeches are flawless and his energy is radiating and fresh. His promises are a dream and we all hope that they don't disappear as soon as we wake up from this celebration. I hope he lives upto his promise of CHANGE! All of us are ready to embrace his ideas and changes, we need a fresh start to old issues. We need an entrepreneur, we need someone dynamic and magnetic. Oh did I mention he's got a mind that would make women or even men weak in their knees!
And this is a reason enough for me to party this weekend.....! C'mon me deserves it!
So, wishing "The O" good luck and I was wondering whether it was possible if he took over the office a bit earlier??? Why wait for good things to begin!! Let the work begin! Mazel Tov baby!
An update!
I know, it's been a long hiatus from blogging, but there really was so much going on, it's crazy. My mom has left for home early this week, my master fell sick and Mr. and I are taking turns attending to him and taking care of him while doing some justice to our jobs too. I haven't even had the time to miss my mom, blame it on taking care of the pediatric visits and administering medicines to the little one. It is at times like this is when I realise, is it really necessary that both parents should be working, I mean your child's health is the top priority, everything else comes in later. It's a tough time, but I know happy times are just around the corner, it's just a matter of time and patience and yes, we are taking out time and patience is one of the side effects of having a child(o yes, trust me tolerance levels are certainly high post baby).
So for the All Souls Day, my master was dressed up as Darth Vader and boy did he look cute! We went trick or treating and then got back in time to give away our share of treats to the little devils. They sure did scare the hell out of our master, he was soo frightened by all their costumes, he was hugging grandma all through and refusing to look at mama give away treats to them trick or treaters. I just wish I had the opportunity to carve pumpkins, I would've carved diyas and lighted them up with candles, coz Diwali was nearby. Globalization....even festivals!
This morning driving across the bridge, it was so pretty, very foggy and very sunny and there were some black objects floating on the river. And on a closer look, I believe they were ducks with their heads down, how do I know that? Well a few of them curious ones, had their heads up, looking at the world above. I wanted to take a picture, but to capture that I would've needed a real camera, not my cell phone camera.
It's been a really long and exhausting week and I hope to get some respite this weekend, looking forward to it. Maybe read some comics(Calvin and Hobbes), cook and watch movies and maybe hit the beach if the weather co-operates!
Profitez de votre weekend! (Enjoy your weekend!)
Adios!
