Sometimes it gets you!

I don't know why but this song has been on my mind for a while now. Something about it is just so appealing.

Is it the slow and steady beat, or is it the way it's sung, or is it the rendition on the whole?

Is it coz the sorrow is expressed so clearly yet so subtle and understated without being all dramatic?

or is it the singer..........who has this roughness in his voice, which is just so fresh and lethargically romantic in his own way?

I'm not able to decide, help me ..............what is it about this song that refuses to get out of my mind? Is it just me or do you also think this song is all over you?

The verdict.....

is regular Bhatt style music. Well, that's how the music for Raaz is, nothing out of the ordinary and all the songs are like you'd expect from the Bhatt house. Although, Maahi is really good, one that stands out and one that you would want to listen over and over again. Bandaa Re is also good, Kaisa Yeh Raaz and O Jaan are just as KK songs, Soniye also failed to impress, though sung by Sonu Nigam, I liked the same song by Krishna better, got a nice classical touch to it. These are the kind of songs that you feel, you've heard them before. I really am watching out for the lyricist, Sayeed Quadri, he pens simple and sweet songs that get the message across. Atleast, the words make sense. So maybe I would give it 3 1/2 stars. 

P.S. Toshi has also sung in  Summer 2007 and Horn Ok Pleasss, prior to Raaz 2.

Breaking News...

Toshi has outdone himself in Raaz...The Mystery Continues! I just love this guy's voice! I can picture myself driving in my car with this song....Mahi, and humming along! That reminds me, I wonder when will I get my car back! I do hope they fix everything that got damaged due to the accident.

I will give a detailed review on Raaz music in my next post.

that finally Raaz music is out, I've been dying to listen to it....especially the one sung by Toshi.....well atleast from the snippets we get to see on TV, he rocks.....beautiful rendition in 'Maahi'. And O yeah.....Emraan Hashmi movies always have ossum music, I like his movies too...always hatke!

And waiting to watch Rab Ne......, if you are wondering why I haven't seen a SRK movie yet....well keep wondering, but this week it has to be done!

I wont be reviewing or declaring Rab Ne as it doesn't need to be....it's going to be awesome. That's it. Final verdict.

Ah, where do I start blogging today! Maybe, that I really loved what Alicia Keys wore to the AMA's on Sunday, or maybe that I am disappointed Desperate Housewives didn't air, also considering the fact that the season would soon end, or maybe that I am really excited for Thanksgiving this year, or maybe that I am still a little spellbound seeing some pics from the Atlantis opening celebrations, or maybe that Roberto Cavalli's house has been designed to change colors as per his mood , or maybe that the book I am reading nowadays is the cause for my nightmares, now why are they interrupting my so-called short spells of beauty sleep is unreasonable. Well, I'm certainly looking forward to partying all this weekend, shake off some of those nightmarish dreams and horrid thoughts. 

I should start reading more classics, they are certainly more enigmatic and peaceful, or better yet Calvin and Hobbes comics, just humor and antics from a 6 year old boy and his stuffed tiger, so imaginative, yet so discreetly hilarious. That reminds me, I loved Golmaal Returns, I thought it was just nonsensical sans a story/plot yet it renders its dose of comedy which I daresay is slapstick and total mass. It's good to see one of those kinds in a long time, the last I can think of is Partner. It's good to unwind all the stress and issues that we have to deal with, by watching these kind of movies every once in a while. By now you must've guessed my devotion towards Bollywood. Nothing appeals to me more than the tinseltown movies. Love them and proud to be able to comprehend them. I'm not a big fan of Aamir Khan's, but that doesn't mean I don't watch his movies, his Ghajini 6 pack abs are not working for me, I think it's just makeover gone completely wrong, of course his face looks a lot better now that he's lost weight, but abs are a big nono, I still believe SRK did a better job at toning his body. So Mr.Perfectionist and his fans, sorry to point that out, but that's just my point of view. Now, I am eager to watch Surya in his toned avatar. Also, the screenplay of the movie Rock On has been selected to be a part of the Oscar Library archives so that it is available for research to other film-related personnel. Some other movie scripts that are already in are Lagaan, Devdas, Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Kal Ho Na Ho, Chak De India, Sarkar Raj and Gandhi My Father. So did I deliver your dose of news for today?

Alright alright, it's not me, this is one of the compositions from the new movie "Dil Kabaddi". When I first heard it, I really liked it, when I saw Rahul Khanna lip-syncing to it, then I thought wow, and when I heard it completely, I thought, wow again, if anyone requests in that manner, I would give in. Gee, just some nonsense from me. Btw, I thought this number had a little bit of R.D.Burman in it, I can't remember off hand which one, but I'll update when my bulb lights up.

I'm listening to the radio now, this helps.....all the loud music and talks will keep me alert...hoping! Oh, that reminds me, i can't nap during lunch too.......got a department luncheon...BOOOO HOOOO!

Rihanna's new number, Live your Life, is good....that girl never ceases to grab my praise!
