Chinese name

I found this really cool website where you can find out your Chinese Name
Mine was Shi Wu.
Guess it changes everytime you send in a request!

Here we go again!

Well, the first thing about IE 8.
As soon as the download was complete, it asks me to restart the computer!!! C'mon, I'm def not going to do that just for a browser! So IE's gonna have to wait until further action can be taken.
I may be sounding like a Google chauvinist, but that is a fact.

Chro-nalysis

Chrome is soo cool. It's def. the new age browser.
Some features that I really liked so far....
- Downloads don't interfere with your work, no popups. The file downloads and sits at the bottom left corner and is ready when  you are.
- Task Manager feature is also cool, esp when you want to end any process.
- Google search has gone one notch up with the search engine built right into the URL
- Pages you've visited last appear on the homepage, so that you dont have to type, just click.
- Adding shortcuts to applications is also cool with options of adding to your desktop, quick launch or start menu.
- View source and JS console are all pretty decent too. By far, the JS concept is totally nouveau.
- Simple yet powerful......that is soo Google!

Well, these are my updates for now, will check back later with the IE 8 beta version. Heard that is pretty similar to Chrome. Let's see.

Sad but true.

Issue: One of the last five ice shelves has broken away. It is about 19 sq mi and is one huge mass of ice.
Cause: Global warming.

It wont be long before the remaining ice shelves too break apart or shrink...then what?
No Arctic, no polar bears, no ice, just water water and more water. It is sad to think back and realise what we, humans, have done to our beautiful planet. We are certainly not leaving this planet with what we got, that one is for sure. Why are we misusing our resources? Why isn't there a balance?
An abundance of a resource at one place might call for paucity of the same at another place....is this fair? If that's what life is, then I'm sorry to say, but I'm pretty sure, this isn't natural, it's what we made of what we got, and I for one am certainly not too proud of this. This is very much disturbing.

Now, take some action and gone are the days when we could take small steps to get a little closer to the reality of Global warming, we need to take huge leaps to prevent our planet from deteriorating. This is bad enough now. I want my future generations to live free lives, not dependent on artificial stuff.

I will definitely make huge changes in my life, and hopefully inspire others around me to do the same. I am optimistic that you will also do the same.

Please save our beautiful planet from global warming and meltdowns.

Is it a rubix cube really?

http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/03/elacs-microsub-2010-bt-the-most-rumbling-rubiks-cube-you-ever/

Another one...

The after-effects of Fay still exist and here comes Hanna. But unlike Fay, we don't know if Hanna will touchdown and hit as a hurricane or will it drift away from land! Whatever it is, I am hoping it won't be a hurricane...thatz just too much to handle! I'm guessing South Carolina will be the host for this one. Hanna's got ample time and space to pick up on winds and turn into a hurricane.

Google Chrome is here!

So Google will be launching its free browser Google Chrome and here is a link to their comic.
Multi-threaded and open source browser....now isn't that innovative and fresh? Check it out....I am waiting as always to see what the Googlers come up with and how they put it up! Love their marketing strategies too, not just the products!!
